Welcome to Trestlewood Pediatrics! We are happy you are visiting our web site to learn about our practice. You can learn a lot about us from our website, but a visit to our practice is the best way to get to know us, and us you.
If you are seeking a new pediatrician for your child or preparing for the birth of your first child, I encourage you to visit our practice and meet with me. My name is Marsha Bassett and I am the Office Manager here at Trestlewood. I would enjoy meeting you anytime at your convenience. During your visit, you can tour the office and meet the physicians who are in the office that day. You also can meet our staff so you know what to expect and who you will see during your future visits to our office. We can discuss our practice and the benefits of choosing us to care for your child. This is also a wonderful time to ask questions.
To schedule a time for us to meet, please call me at (269) 381-0118 or email me at info@trestlewoodpediatrics.com. During our visit, I will review everything you need to know about our practice, including how to tell the hospital Trestlewood Pediatrics will be caring for your child, what to expect for visits in the first year, how to make appointments and how we handle phone calls and emergencies. We will also talk about our physicians, answer any financial questions you have, and provide you with handouts we provide our families for educational purposes. So give me a call and we will schedule a time to meet that fits your schedule.
After our visit, if you still have unanswered clinical questions, we can arrange for you to meet privately with one of our physicians in a new patient chat.
If you interested in transferring your children to our practice, please call our office at (269) 381-0118 to discuss this with me or one of our front desk staff. We will ask that you arrange to have your child(ren)'s health records sent to our office prior to your first visit. We also prefer to have the first visit to our office be a well child visit. Having the records and a well child visit first gives us the opportunity to get to know you and your child(ren) in an extended, comfortable session with health records in hand. Then when your child is sick, we already will know you and your child and have a baseline history. If your child becomes ill before your first well child visit, please call us and we will see what we can do.
When you call our office about bringing your new infant here or transferring your child or children here, I will ask if your children are immunized, or in the case of a newborn, if you plan to vaccinate.
What makes our practice different from other pediatric practices?
- Your child will always be seen by a board-certified pediatrician and you will be given the choice when scheduling each visit which pediatrician you would like to see.
- If your child has an urgent issue, acute problem or emergency after hours, you can reach one of our physicians after hours on the on-call cell phone at (269)998-0554. One of our doctors answers the on-call cell phone after hours — no answering service and no nurse triage.
- We offer same day appointments when your child is sick or has an acute issue.
- New patients and parents are warmly welcomed at a new patient visit where they will meet with me, the Office Manager, and be introduced to our physicians and staff.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce you to Trestlewood Pediatrics. I look forward to meeting you.
